Look elsewhere--The outside is nice- inside deceiving
All potential 62 plus renters--look elsewhere. This building is a joke. The hallways look like this building has been here for 10 plus years. The carpet for a 2 year old building is stained You can't get nothing fixed and the so called maintenance man is just collecting a check.
There is nothing inside the units to assist any senior with bathing (such as grab bars). The apartment doors were cut wrong, some doors you can see in the hallways.
You will find the residents pleasant-but its... too many non lease folks and their friends using this senior building as a HANG OUT. Late nights the men/women that are NOT age appropriate to live here--hang out on the benches, and smoke weed/party/fight/cuss --just carry on the area surrounding the building. The benches need to be removed.
The front of the building has a soccer field that the kids use and it is loud and disturbing/music etc. when you live on the front. Most of the young boys the utilize the field come from other areas around Silver Hill Road.
The first floor lobby area is always smelling fresh to look welcoming for potential visitors/renters--but go to 2-6 floors its a different story. dirty halls, stained halls /dust etc.
The walls in various apartments have cracks galore, from the ceiling to the floor.. Please don't come here-the moveouts have been nonstop-because residents are FED UP. This company will go under very soon, because a company can't sustain profit with this amount of vacant units.
There is always heavy traffic of shady people in and out the premises all day all night. From the opening of the building in 2022 Management has been non responsive to valid concerns from residents and the turnover of the mgmt., staff is nonstop. The first year the management staff were abrupt in their tone toward residents, mean, and not empathic. The corporate office in Philly is non responsive to concerns.
The office is always closed, they post signs galore all over the building. It is very offensive seeing signs on the trash rooms doors about diapers, depends disposal, etc. It is a insult to seniors who came her to live in what was suppose to be a nice place named after Mr. John Lewis. The apartments are nice, but the 2 bedroom only have 1 bath and no living area.
If you have the option to move don't come here-- and NEVER RENT FROM COLUMBUS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT--you will be sorry.

Little Regard for the Residents' Safety and Welfare
I have lived here for almost 2 years. It is suppose to be a nonsmoking environment. The smoke infiltration of cigarettes, marijuana and incense is almost unbearable. Although management send out threats of eviction for potential violators, nothing is really being done and there is no security or onsite staff to monitor the activities of this building. Two residents with COPD and asthesma had breathing emergencies this weekend.

Looking for leasing info. Horrible first impression. How do you screw this up!!!
Called twice and requested visits online- no response. Went anyway because new places fill up quickly and had a doctor's appointment n DC as I live in Southern MD
First of all we arrived around 4pm door locked - no sign up, friend knocking on the door several times. Leasing person come running out of the office, with hands on hips, talking fast, acting like she was appeared to be highly disturbed because we were there my friend kept knocking on the door. She didn't want to answer the door.... What's wrong she said she was busy working on leases.
I wasted time coming by and didn't get any info other her quickly telling me she didn't have anything available. Oh! she wouldn't have told me anything if I hadn't insisted and worked on in. She appeared to be overwhelmed. Not my problem. I drove along way to see this places. If you that busy maybe you need more help. I'm available.
The property manager did not call me back. I called her twice no response. That why I'm on reviews. So sad nice looking build right now but .....
