I love the place and I love the management. It's very convenient, and I just like the area. It's a good place to live.

I live in a very small apartment in what is not the best area in town. I didnt move here by choice, a series of unfortunate events led me here. I had a stroke, lost my job, lost my house, car and the ability to walk without a walker. So.... I moved into the Cromwell house, "a senior community" . I live on the top floor, the fourth floor, which is at treetop level. An unexpected benefit I have quite the view. I can see the highway overpass, and the occasional traffic jam, I can see The train... crossing out my window ,I Love it, at night I can hear the train whistle blow in the distance, Just another unexpected benefit.
after living here three years I have come to realize there are many advantages and unexpected amenities. I love being at Treetop level. I spend a lot of time sitting in my chair looking out the window which looks onto the back parking lot and back patio which has two picnic tables and charcoal cooker on a pole. There is a strip of land with bushes and a fence. Which borders on houses in the ajoining neighborhood. Is pretty quiet most of the time. It's like I have my own private park or back yard patio. There is another community patio also, off the community room, which is much more used. This works for people who are way more social than me.
We have two laundry rooms on each floor. There are three elevators in this building. Many folks here use wheelchairs, the halls are well lit with handrails. Everything is wheelchair accessible. With ramps at all entrances.
In this neighborhood there are many senior communities of all levels. So the city has made the area very handicap accessible with lots of curb cuts, public transportation and several affordable pay options for transportation. We are close to several grocery stores, restaurants, and the social services office. We are on a bus line to everywhere. There is a nearby Walmarts. Need I say more.
There are some disadvantages, I had to sell almost everything I owned, I went from a three-bedroom house with a yard and garage to a one-bedroom efficiency. It took some getting used to and I broke my heart in several ways. But now I realize the small, simple life is so much easier. I realize cars are very expensive. I love not having to cut the grass or keep up the gutters clean.
As part of the rent($655.-$795) dish TV is included. So is water and garbage disposal. The Cromwell house provides a handicap bus that will take you to doctors appointments once a week. As well as shopping once a week.
