Stay Away

Be prepared for frustration and headache. When I first met the most recent property manager he told me "Avenue 5 put me here because I am the only property manager to turn a profit" - I found out quickly this is done by ignoring issues and cutting corners - well done!

Pros:
No shared walls unless you're in a one-bedroom.
Backyards
Jason (maintenance person) is very friendly and respectful.
Shandi in the office is very sweet and friendly!

Cons:
Backyards lack drainage and management...
acknowledges but refuses to address the poor quality of the grass.
Poor wiring - had several issues with the electrical and had an electrician over for extensive periods of time.
Poor build/materials quality - piggybacking on the electrical, you can tell that quality was on the bottom of the list for the builder. Materials are cheap. Shower leaked causing mold to grow on the baseboards (and they charged us for a deep clean here on move out, what a joke). Air conditioning broke - twice! I could go on...
Parking - if you want to ensure you aren't trekking across the property when you get home you'll need to pay for a garage or carport.
Amenities - the way I see it there are only a handful of amenities in the community; pool/hot tub, dog park, and fire pit. Hot tub heater was regularly out of order, fountain at the dog park was busted after a freeze, and the fire pit wasn't hooked up to gas. Hot tub took almost four months to resolve, never saw the fire pit fixed, and the fountain in the dog park was (I think) finally fixed 9 months later when I moved out.
Gate/Security - take a look at a crime map of the surrounding area and you'll be glad it's a gated community. Unfortunately, the gate was frequently stuck open.
Landscaping - Management must have wanted the part commonly seen on tours to be appealing because not once did anyone landscape for us.
Construction - the two month project to build the fitness center took far longer and valuable parking spaces were taken away for an ugly dumpster to take their place. Construction crews had no regard for resident comfort and management didn't seem bothered.
Renewal Offer - Horizon doesn't value their tenants, our renewal offer was about $300/mo more than the rent listed for the unit online.
24/7 maintenance - this is just untrue. When our AC went out in 100+ degree weather it took 18 hours for someone to show up.
Valet trash - be prepared to be missed and walk your trash to the dumpster, which are not conveniently located.

Car Towed while visiting NO STICKER NO WARNING

This place towed my car while visiting.
NOT a good place to live! Very SMALL once you get moved in.
TOO expensive for the space.
