Village at lighthouse point

Maybe 4 years ago when these people from other reviews lived here it was not a good place. But this place is beautiful, quiet, all the neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful. People play games down in the community room along with bible studies available. I have lived Here for 4 months and I absolutely love it. It is a bit expensive like other places but I really enjoy the peace and quiet. People I've met have lived here 3-5 years and they say they still love it.

This place is the worst

I lived there for 2 years. The first year, we had no grass, so when the windows were open, the dirt blew right in the apartment. The pool was not able to be opened because the fencing surrounding it wasn't up to code.
The second year I lived there, every appliance in the kitchen broke. Not all at the same time, but non the less.
The microwave would turn on by itself and run so hot that the smoke alarms would go off. This was repaired, supposedly, but it did it again. I had to leave it...
unplugged.
The dishwasher kept filling with water, when it was not in use, it would fill so high that it would leak out on the floor.
After 2 years, I moved out and did not receive a penny of my $2000 deposit.
I was told, but never got anything in writing, that since I burned candles in the apartment that soot collected in the corners. The candles were never burned near walls, only on the faux bar on the kitchen cabinet. I was also told that it was okay to smoke in the garage, I did, but because the ceiling turned yellow-ish, that was a problem.
When I gave notice of moving, I volunteered to deep clean and spackle the holes in the walls, I was told that they prefer I didn't, the painters would do it.
I never received so much as a letter that itemized the costs of the damage I caused. I have moved a few times in my life and Never have I gotten my security deposit back.

I would go homeless rather than rent from these scoundrels again.

Worse place

They don’t fix anything they lack of a good maintenance guy. The new manager doesn’t care about anything plus he is hardly there. But what can u expect from the owners dad. Plus in top of the new water fees and rent going up is not worth it.
