Waterstone Place Apartments is located in Minnetonka, Minnesota in the 55305 zip code. This apartment community was built in 2003 and has 4 stories with 165 units.
My husband and I loved living at Waterstone Place, so much so that we stayed there for over 3 years. The only reason we moved out was because we bought a house, otherwise we would've continued living there. You won't find better, more responsive, more friendly management anywhere. The property is beautiful, and the apartments themselves are large and well-maintained. Our particular apartment overlooked a marsh, so the balcony was a perfect little getaway. Every year we utilized the club room for... our family Christmas get togethers, and family and friends all commented on what a great space it was. Walls are thick enough that we never heard the neighbors, and the residents that live there are all respectful and friendly. Great location, 10 minutes from everything, and you'd never know it was right off of a highway with the way the sound is muffled in the building. Long story short,I would highly recommend this community to anyone that is willing to pay a little extra to have a wonderful place to call home.

Decent Place
These apartments were likely "luxury" (as they advertise) 10 years ago. Now they're average. Not sure if the high rent I paid was worth the amenities available (no pool, spa, workout rooms are small, little to no truly usable green space.) I did, however, really enjoy the large windows and my one bedroom fit all of my belongings perfectly (bonus that the walk in closet was big and a storage locker is included.) Appliances are old, but you do have the option of upgrading them for an extra... $25/month in rent. I am able to hear my neighbors on both sides and above me.
My unit faced the marsh that the apartments are built on and the sound from the train truly is deafening when you have the windows open (and it runs all hours of the day and night.) When viewing the apartment I voiced concerns over the amount of bugs due to the proximity to the marsh and was told that it would not be an issue because the state sprays it. Not true. There were hundreds of water mosquitoes that swarmed our patio.
A big redeeming quality is that the staff are very friendly and work to know everyone by name and respond to questions and emails promptly. It is evident they care about the community. It is also convenient to uptown and shopping and HWY 169. The property is cared for and nicely upkept.
There is a mixture of young professionals, families, and older folks. I have never lived in a community where the tenants are so active with complaints. You can expect an email from management weekly, if not more frequently, about anything from gardener snakes sunning themselves on the walking paths to cars that are parked poorly (including a picture of the license plate of said car) to a dog that looks like it weigh over the 20 lb dog limit. It almost feels like you're living with Big Brother, and you have to be very careful to avoid doing something (literally anything) to upset another tenant for fear of being scolded via email by management. I don't feel like there is much privacy, even on your own balcony.
There were several notices sent out about car thefts within the locked parking garage. I would hope that this would take priority over some of the more menial items (see above) but it doesn't appear so.

Serene spot in the suburbs!
Waterstone Place is a wonderful, quiet, upscale apartment complex in Minnetonka! The serene park like setting makes you feel like you are living up north rather than in a bustling suburb. The apartments are roomy with tons of storage in the apartment, and an additional storage room onsite is included as well. Apartments at Waterstone are smoke free which was important to me, and they welcome pets too! You really can't go wrong by choosing to live here, the people are great and will welcome... you at anytime! You should definitely come and take a look!!
